Pedagogy & Learning

WHAT ALL IS YOUR KID GOING TO LEARN?

The Pedagogy for SPROUTS is based on play way methods, which is essentially about learning through imitation and handling of various natural materials like natural fiber, clay, wood pieces, etc. Our innovative approach focuses on understanding the feel of everything and improve the power of observation.

The feel of plants, the warmth of sun brings calmness amongst the little angels who get ready to focus on the classroom instructions. In the classroom, individual attention is given to each and every kid so they feel involved in the learning process of the class.

Discipline

At Sprouts we respect each child and his or her level of development, individual personality, and their family and cultural influences. We create a positive environment (plenty of toys, activities, space, as well as area boundaries to divide activities) so as to influence behavior. Our goal is to help children learn to be caring, sharing, safe, respectful, and develop self-control, self-confidence, and sensitivity in their social interactions during their time at preschool. A caring and positive approach is taken regarding behavior management and discipline.

The basic guidance techniques that the teachers at Sprouts strive to follow are:

  • Tell children what to do instead of what not to do.
  • Protect and preserve children’s feelings of being lovable and capable.
  • Change the environment instead of children’s behavior.
  • Give children safe limits they can understand.
  • Set a good example.

We also design the rewards for the kids such that they feel encouraged and motivated to behave in a disciplined way.

Health, Safety and Environment

PROMOTING A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT

We also design the rewards for the kids such that they feel encouraged and motivated to behave in a disciplined way.

  • We offer a kid's gym for physical exercises, various learning aids for eye-hand coordination.
  • Simple tools in meditation starting from maintaining silence for a certain time.
  • Sprouts also has an infirmary on campus and association with a nearby child specialist for Bi-annual health check-up camps.
  • The physical environment at Sprouts would also necessarily be disinfected, hygienic and clean.
  • We have avoided using or having any sharp objects in building fittings and fixtures.
  • The lighting would also be soft and cool.
  • Special air-conditioning is used that keeps microbes away. At the same time, the temperature in the classroom is maintained at not less than 25 degree Celsius.
